Pete Mckinley Sanders

Mr. Pete McKinley Sanders, age 59, of Calhoun, passed away on October 29, 2006, at Redmond Regional Medical Center. He was born in Ridgeland, South Carolina, on June 27, 1947, son of the late Irby Frazier Sanders and Janie M. Lyons Pyke. Mr. Sanders was a Maintenance Mechanic with Products Concepts, was a veteran of the US Navy, having served in Vietnam, and was a beloved biker.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Rhonda Boswell Sanders; two sons; Clayton Blanchard and Anthony Blanchard of Calhoun; one daughter; Rhonda Blanchard of Calhoun; three sisters; Peggy Wilson and Lavoyn Foshee of Jacksonville, Florida, and Linda Patterson of Alabama. Six grandchildren also survive.

A graveside service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Thursday, November 2nd , at 2:00pm with Rev. Joe Tillman officiating. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday between the hours of 5:00pm and 9:00pm.
