Calhoun

Peggy Fisher Fogarty passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023.

Born in Mansfield Ohio, she moved to Calhoun Ga in 1995. Preceding her in death was her son, Chuck Fogarty and her daughter Kathleen Ann Fogarty Poole. Her son and daughter’s death, was just 30 days apart, it was only by the Grace of God & friends that she was able to go on with her life.

She is survived by, one daughter, Caroline Lynn Echols. 7 Grandchildren; Jessica Echols, Melissa Echols, Sarah (Derek) Harper, Samantha Echols, Leah (Tommy) Poole, Mary Poole, Jacob Poole,  9 Great Grandchildren, and one brother, Tom Fisher of Columbus Ohio. Peggy also leaves behind her special friends; Joan and Ernie Sumner whom she has known for over 70 years, Randy and Karen Poole -you were always there for me, words cannot express what you mean to me, Bud and Vicki Owens- Thank you for all your prayers, food that you have provided me when I was unable to drive. Ronnie and Cindy McBrayer – Ronnie thank you for all your wisdom and support over the years. You helped me carry on after Chuck and Kathleen passed on. Cindy thank you for your friendship and love through our time together. She wants to thank everyone who helped her in her lifes journey.

Peggy was once very active in the community. After the death of her 2 children she started a non-profit corporation, Faith in Action Ministries of Calhoun. She was able to carry on the work of her son & daughter in helping those that needed a helping hand.   She worked with local organizations helping people who needed temporary help with medicine, medical supplies, doctor visits,  and other causes that local agencies did not cover.

She worked so no one would know she was the one helping them. She hoped they would thank their God for their answered prayers.

At her request, no service will be held. She would rather you be kind to someone who needs a little help, and pay your blessings forward.

The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Peggy Fisher Fogarty.
