Obituary

Patricia 'Teresa' Young, 63, of the Resaca Community died on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Advent Health Gordon. Patricia was born in Floyd County on May 29, 1958. She was preceded in death by her father, Connie Mack Green. A Pentecostal, Patricia worshiped at Lakeview Pentecostal Church in Plainville. Patricia worked in the textile industry for most of her career.
Survivors include her husband of forty-eight years, Gary Gene Young; her children, Tommy Young and Cindy Young; her mother, Mattie Lou Reynolds Wright; her grandchildren, Brittany Mowry and Justin McSwain; her great-grandson, Landun Dillard; her siblings and their spouses, Sandy (Candi) Green, Billy Green, Sara (Kenny) Smith, Joyce (Ed) Lanham, Jean (Paul) Allen, Janie (Rickey) Kelley, and Lisa (Michael) Emmett; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Patricia's family will receive friends on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation on Saturday, April 2nd at 1:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Matthew Reynolds will officiate.
