Ollie Mae Sexton

Mrs. Ollie Mae Sexton, age 76 of Adairsville, died Friday May 5, 2017 at Gordon Health Care, following several years of declining health.
Mrs. Sexton was born January 7, 1941, in Isom, KY, daughter of the late Oda and Mary Rackey Amburgey. Ollie was married to H.C. Sexton, who preceded her in death on March 1, 2016, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Gay Amburgey.
Those surviving include her sons, Eugene Sexton and his wife Millie of Dalton, and H.C. Sexton, Jr. and his wife Neva of Marshall, NC; a daughter, Brenda Thompson of Adairsville; brothers, Jimmy Amburgey, Don Amburgey and his wife Wendy, and Floyd Amburgey and his wife Bonnie, all of Ohio; and two sisters, Mary Hellen Folck and her husband Joe, and Madonna Hunter and her husband Sean, all of Ohio. Grandchildren surviving are Michael Hunter, Desiree Nicole Torok, Heather Hunter, Matthew Sexton, Sarah Reinert, Nicole Land and Melanie Poe. Thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Linda Amburgey, nieces and nephews, and other relatives also survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Ollie Mae Sexton will be held on Sunday May 7th at 3:00 PM, from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. George Gray and Rev. Luke Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Sexton Family Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Troy Smith, Eric Ledbetter, Greg Banks, Michael Hunter, Andrew Miller, and D. Miller.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 6th between the hours of 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
