Obituary

Norman Roy Hollingsworth, 86, of Calhoun, Ga passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. He was born in Gordon County on June 20, 1935 to the late Roy and Charlaine Kendrick Hollingsworth.
Norman was a Mason and Shriner. He had a great sense of humor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by GA Natural Gas.
Norman is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nettie Lou Defoor Hollingsworth; son, Rick Hollingsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Sam Simonson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow the visitation on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Stanley Simpson, Donnie Hurley, Tracey Cochran, Bobby Blackstock, and Bryan Burchett.
The family asks that flowers are omitted and contributions are made to Homespun Hospice Family Assistance Fund.
