Obituary

Norman Lee Asbury, 84, of Calhoun, Georgia died Friday, October 21, 2022. He was born on February 15, 1938, in Jolo, West Virginia to the late Cleve W. and Rebecca Mullins Asbury. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Asbury and Frank Asbury.
Prior to retirement, Norman was employed by Console Coal Company as a Miner/Roof Bolter..
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Helen Jeanette Delp Asbury; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy (David) Holder of Calhoun, Drema Inman of Ft. Pierce, FL, and Lorea (Steve) Albert of Pearisburg, VA; grandchildren, Jessica, Candice, and Lauren; nephews, Mike Asbury, and Jerry Asbury; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
The funeral will be conducted on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Billy Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers are, Dave Holder, Jerry Asbury, Mike Asbury, Anthony Dunford, Christian Brueggert, and Greg Hubbard. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour of 2:00 pm.
