Nathan Alan Braddy, 8, of Calhoun died on Sunday, April 16, 2017 from injuries received in an accident. He was born in Gordon County on July 17, 2008. Nathan was a student in the second grade at Fairmount Elementary School. Nathan was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Charles Greeson, J.C. Langford, and Rev. James Braddy. He will be remembered as a bright and loving young man who could light up a room with his mischievous smile.
Nathan is survived by his mom, Sayrah Greeson; his grandparents, Danny Greeson, Laura Worley, Randy and Lori McElrath, and Mitzi and Ricky Reed; his sister, Madison Johnson; his great-grandparents, Donald and Faye Worley, Peggy Greeson, and Evelyn Braddy; his aunts and uncles, Kala Greeson, Julee Greeson, Holly Hennessee, Keith and Charmon VanDyke, Matthew Rice, and Tammy and David Manly; many other relatives and friends.
Nathans family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from Antioch Baptist Church. Nathans body will lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Rev. Larry Hibberts and Rev. Hershel Pierce will officiate. Pallbearers are Fred Gazaway, Kelly Scott, Randy McElrath, and Donald Worley. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Johnson, Tucker Bridwell, Matt Rice, Keith VanDyke, Brian VanDyke, Tim Worley, Kenny Hammond, and Donny Worley.
