Naketa Kaye Griffin, 61, of Ranger, Georgia died Monday, October 18, 2021. She was born on July 8, 1960, in Rome, Georgia to the late Rev. Edgar W. Pasley and Maybelle Brown Pasley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years Tim Griffin and sister Susan Pasley.
Naketa was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and mawmaw.
She is survived by her children, Jeremy Griffin, Jill Brown (Corey Richardson), and Tara Ewell (BJ); grandchildren, Wesley Griffin, Jordan Brown, Griffin Holden, Kalli Ewell, Landon Griffin, Raylin Ewell, and Luke Holden; brothers, Rev. Michael Pasley (Cheryl) and Todd Pasley (Colleen); sister, Mellisa Hollifield (David); several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be conducted on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Pasley, Stephen Samples, and MSgt.Cole Pasley officiating. Burial will follow in Ryo Cemetery. Pallbearers are, Martin Horner, Chad Guess, Timmy Lyles, Johnathan Griffin, Jamie Hall, Brent Holden, Greyson Hollifield, and Todd Pasley. Honorary pallbearers are, Josh Darnell, Zack Corn, John Thomas, Jacob Griffin, Matt Pruitt, Dustin Thomas, Eric Mayes, Tyler Lyles, Anthony Crohnan, Willie Phillips, Casey Blackmon, and Monte Moraitakis.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to help cover funeral expenses.
