Obituary

Ms. Virginia Collins, 82, of Calhoun died on Thursday, April 14, 2022. following several months of declining health. Virginia was born in Chattanooga on August 2, 1939; she was the daughter of the late Gordon Nelson and Nellie Mae Durham Wray. Her loving husband, Troy Edward Collins, also preceded her in death in 2012.
Virginia is survived by her children, Billy (Ruby) Collins, Tommy Collins, Kelly Collins, James (Betty) Collins, and Cleaburn Collins; her grandchildren, Brandy (Jason) Owenby, Bradley Kerr, Crystal Newberry, Carrie (Cody) Queen, Brittany Kerr, Brian Kerr, Brooke (Josh) Cantrell, Brandon Collins, Brandon Kerr, Steven Collins, and Tammy Collins; many great-grandchildren and other relatives.
The Collins family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church cemetery.
