Mona Jean Stephens

Obituary

Mona Jean Stephens, 79, of Resaca, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022. She was born in Tacoma, Washington, on January 21, 1943, to the late Ross and Virginia Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ray Stephens; daughters and sons-in-law, Missie and Terry Roach, Hattie and Russell Johnson, and Dreamalee and Michael Hall; brother, Ross Johnson; sisters Elizabeth Fritz and Frankie Sokso; grandchildren Julie Simpkins, Jeannie Welch, Robert (Jimbo) Newson, Christina Bridgens, Kimberly Salinas, Melanie Gray, and Nikki Moore; 12 great-grandchildren also survive.
Mona was a loving wife, mother, and MawMaw and was of the Baptist faith. She was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be missed by all.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons with Brother Daniel Brown officiating. Pallbearers serving are Steve Simpkins, Jay Bridgens, Colton Simpkins, Daniel Welch, and Alex Salinas. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
