Molly Michelle McDonald Payne, 51, of Calhoun passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2022, at AdventHealth Gordon after a brief illness.
Molly was born in Rome, Georgia on September 15, 1970, the daughter of the late Harry Neal McDonald Sr. and Charlotte Walker McDonald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Neal McDonald Jr. She was a graduate of North Cobb High School Class of 1989 where she was a member of the Band and after graduation, she attended Shorter College in Rome. During her working career, she was associated with Rome Neuro-Spinal Associates, Pearl Vision, Cherokee County Sheriffs Department, and Gordon County 911 Center. Molly was a people person and loved helping others. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Payne; one son, Dylan Michael Payne; sister, Lisa (Frank) Braden; sister-in-law, Kathy (Shannon) Ramsey; brother-in-law; Jeff (Adrian) Payne; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Ginger Payne; nieces and nephews, Cody James Beasley, April Cheyenne ONeil, Ian Neal McDonald, Ashlyn Ramsey, Jordon Ramsey, James Ramsey, Trey Payne, Emily Payne, Christian Payne, Landon Subia and Shelby Smith along with several great nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Molly Michelle McDonald Payne will be held Saturday, January 15th at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Eddie Brannon officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday between the hours of 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family asks that flowers are omitted and donations can be made in Mollys memory to a charity of choice.
