Mildred Defoor

Mrs. Mildred (Mickey) Defoor, age 85 of the Mt. Zion Community; Resaca, Georgia; died Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at her residence.

Mrs. Defoor was born on February 08, 1921 in Whitfield County; daughter of the late Andrew and Agnes Jewell Jones Evans. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Russell Defoor on January 17, 2005 and by sisters; Ruby; Edna and Libby. During her lifetime; she was employed in the textile industry and was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church near Resaca.

Mrs. Defoor is survived by special nieces, nephews, Sisters- in-law; Malvia Gilley, and Jeanette Defoor, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred (Mickey) Defoor will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Hogan officiating. Singing will be arranged by Pastor and Mrs. Jimmy Hogan. Pallbearers serving will include; Jody Slaughter, Alan Slaughter, Larry Gilley, Lamar Pritchett, Robert Slaughter and M.E. Smith. Burial will follow the service in the family lot at West Hill Cemetery at Dalton. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Friday evening during the hours of 4 until 9 p.m.
