Melvin Lendon Cheek, 74, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026. He was born on October 27, 1951, to the late Roy and Darlene Cheek. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Deborah Cheek; son, Robbie Cheek; brothers, Michael Cheek and Terry Cheek.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Brenda Cheek; son, Randy Cheek; sisters, Charlotte (Kenny) Carnes, Tina (Tommy) Beddington, and Kathy (Larry) Couch.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Fouts officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Church of God Cemetery in Ranger. Pallbearers are Russell Cheek, Chris Polley, Zak Edwards, Lee Couch, Michael Cheek, and Roger Cheek.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve Melvin Lendon Cheek.
