Obituary

Matthew Ryan Parmer, 35, of Austell, Georgia died Saturday, September 25, 2021, after three weeks of declining health. He was born on April 29, 1986, in Dalton, Georgia to Martin and Kristina Hawkins Parmer.
Matthew was a computer technician for Georgia Tech Research Institution. He was a loving husband, father, and son.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Leigh Bird Parmer; sons, Charles Henry Parmer, Gabriel Harmon Parmer, and Emmett Harold Parmer; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Parmer; sister and brother-in-law, Emily Lauren Clance and Ryan Clance; grandparents, Helton and Jean Hawkins; aunt, Cynthia Hawkins; uncle, Darryl and Cara Hawkins; aunts and uncles, Jerome and Sharon Parmer and Terry and Mary Parmer; cousins, Alan and Ryan Parmer, Carrie and Ella Hawkins; in-laws, Ben and Sheri Bird; sister-in-law, Cassie Bird; several friends and other relatives also survive.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 2:00 m until 5:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The memorial service will follow the visitation at 5:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
