Audrey Turner Offutt

Mary Audrey Offutt, age 92, born May 24, 1933, passed away on May 9, 2026 peacefully at home surrounded by the love and care of her family.

Born in Alabama and moved to Gordon County, she was reared by her grandparents on a farm near New Echota. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frederick Ralph Offutt Sr., and her step sons, Ralph Offutt Jr., and Russell Offutt.

She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory always: Stanley Offutt & family, Sonja Rainey & family, Victor and Debbie Offutt & family, Mitchell and Chris Offutt & family, Julie and Todd Wilson & family, and John Offutt & family.

Audrey was known for her hardworking spirit, her kindness, and a generosity that touched everyone who knew her. She was the most selfless mother, working tirelessly throughout her life and always finding joy in giving to her children and family. Her selflessness and giving heart were evident in everything she did. She especially loved gardening and found great joy in caring for her flowers and plants.

Her greatest devotion, however, was her faith. Audrey loved the Lord deeply and wanted to live long enough to tell as many people as possible that Jesus loved them and was the answer they sought. Her unwavering faith and loving heart were an inspiration to all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love she gave so freely, the wisdom she shared, and the strong faith she carried throughout her life.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Todd Wilson officiating. Private family burial will follow in Fain Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 12th between the hours of 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
