Obituary

Mary Emma Coley Davis, 90, of Calhoun died Sunday, June 13, 2021 at her residence following several months declining health.
Mrs. Davis was born in Gordon County, Georgia on December 8, 1930, daughter of the late Murray and Gorda Mae Coley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Davis in 1995; son, James Erwin "Jim" Davis; a grandson, Michael Blake; sister, Elizabeth Coley and a brother Adam Coley. Early in her career she was employed by the City of Calhoun as a School Crossing Guard at College Street School and a Meter Maid, later she was employed in the Gordon County Tax Commissioners office and retired from the Gordon County Tax Assessor's Office as Gordon County Mapper. She was a member of the Adairsville Order of Eastern Star
Survivors include her daughter, Angelia (Troy) Padgett; sons, Jerry Brown (Gloria) Davis, John Marshall (Melissa) Davis, Thomas William (Tammy) Davis; grandchildren, Kerry Robinson, Cheyenne ONeal, Lee Simmons, Elise Nizamutdinova, Brian and Trey Padgett, Crystal Sumner, Coley Davis, Andrew and Josh Davis, Brooke Caudle; several great-grandchildren; along other relatives.
Funeral services for Mary Emma Coley Davis will be conducted Wednesday, June 16th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with eulogy by Haley ONeal. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include, Bodie Ray, Kerry Robinson, Andrew Davis, Josh Davis, Haley ONeal and Chad Sumner; honorary pallbearers serving will include, James Steele, Eddie Brannon, Michelle Wilson, Brook Caudle, Matt Tobb, Enrique Vasqulet, Rosendo Solomon, Pete Chapman, Ruth Thomas, Tim and Valerie Allen and Keith Pass. The family would like to give special thanks to Homespun Hospice and Cheyenne O'Neal, Michelle Wilson and Brook Caudle.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 15th after the hour of 5:00 PM at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Mary Emma Coley Davis.
