Mary Ruth Edens

Mary Ruth Edens, 84. Of Calhoun, Georgia passed away October 22, 2023, in Rome, Georgia.  She was born in Calhoun, Georgia on September 21, 1939, to the late Frank and Pallas Edens.

Ms. Edens graduated from Calhoun High School and went on to Reinhardt Junior College and West Georgia College.  She spent time working in Miami, Florida before returning to Sugar Valley, Georgia to care for her elderly father on the family farm.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Johnnie Edens Fox of Calhoun, Georgia.

She is survived by her brother, Joe C. Edens of Sugar Valley, Georgia; sister, Sara A. Patrick of Orange Park, Florida; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 18, from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
