Mary Ann Petty

Mrs. Mary Ann Petty, age 60 of Calhoun, died Thursday, June 14, 2007 in Gordon Hospital.

Mrs. Petty was born in Catoosa County, GA on September 26, 1946, daughter of the late Charles Jones and Bertie Mantooth Jones. She was of the Christian faith and was a graduate of North Whitfield High School and prior to her retirement was employed by Cintas of Calhoun. Mrs. Petty was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christina Phillips.

Survivors include her husband, James Franklin Petty to whom she was married for 42 years. One daughter, Marie Phillips and her husband Mike of Hill City, GA; three sons, Edward Petty and his wife Joy of Calhoun; Tony Petty and his wife Leah of Resaca and Richard Petty of Marietta, GA. Three grandchildren, Harmony Petty, Michala Petty and Hunter Petty; and one brother, four sisters and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Petty will be held Saturday, June 16th at 2:00 PM, from the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Garrett officiating. Music will be arranged by Kim Waters and Mike and Jackie McDaniel. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tim McCulley conducting the graveside service. Pallbearers serving will include; Ray Patterson, Fred Bowling, David Patterson, Timmy Angel, Chad Petty and Kenneth Phillips. Honorary pallbearers include; Ray Silvers, Dale Silvers, Brett Silvers and Harvey Petty.

The Petty family will receive friends Friday evening, between the hours of 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. at the funeral home.
