Obituary

Mrs. Mary Ann Watkins Parks, 82, of Calhoun, passed away at her residence Thursday while surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Parks was born on March 10, 1940, in Louisville, Georgia, the daughter of the late Weston Julian Watkins and Mary Tom Sutherland Watkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jackie McClure; brothers, Donald Long and his wife Joyce, Pat Watkins, Lynn Long; brother-in-law, Donald Vaughn; sister-in-law, Tammy Long.
Prior to retirement, she was employed by Shaw Industries.
Survivors include one daughter Martha Parks Stewart and one son, Sherard Parks; grandsons, Joseph W. Stewart and Eric Stewart; great-grandchildren; Draven Stewart, Joseph W. Stewart Jr and Danavee Bright; one sister, Faye Vaughn; two brothers, Jim Long and his wife Cheryl and Kenny Long; sister-in-law, Dancia Watkins; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In accordance with Mrs, Parks wishes, no public services are planned.
