Mary Ann Elizabeth Page Hergel, 81, of Calhoun, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at AdventHealth Gordon. Mrs. Hergel was born April 5, 1941 in Hamilton County, TN, the daughter of Mary Annie Walden Page and the late, William Curtis Page Sr. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Gene Hergel in 1986; two brothers, William Curtis Page Jr. and, David Larry Page; sisters-in-law, Patricia Hobgood Page and, Barbara Pearson Page; son-in-law, Paul Anthony Dinos.
She is survived by three children, Carrie Anne Hergel Galloway (Tim), Celeste Hergel Dinos, and Michael Paul Hergel; mother, Mary Annie Walden Page; sister, Patricia Louise Page; brother, Roy Edward Page (Pam); grandchildren, Ryan Bishop, Sean Curtis Galloway, and Dylan Galloway (Stormie); great-grandchild, Alaric Galloway; beloved nieces, nephews and, other relatives.
Before starting their own family, Mary Ann and Gene worked extensively and passionately with the Catholic orphanage in Atlanta. Mary Ann then stayed at home to raise her children. During the last half of her life, she spent her time at the family home, lovingly cared for by her sister Patricia.
A service will be conducted Monday at 2:00 PM from the graveside at Chandler Cemetery.
