Martha “Sue” Burchett Craig, 78, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023. She was born on April 24, 1945, to the late Alton and Mary Ruth Burchett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Burchett and sisters, Helen Timms and Kay Dyer.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Richard Craig; son, Phillip Craig (Susan); daughter, Holly Woodring (Daren); sisters, Phyllis Hayes (Clyde), Gail Peoples, Francis Davis, Betty Roberts; grandchildren, Payton Woodring, Ashton Woodring, Harley Craig, Gavin Craig, Brayden Woodring, Glendi Craig, Evelin Craig, Rosemeri Craig, Kitty Craig; great-grandchild, Zayden Mulkey; special friends, Rita Deaton, Judy Bramblett, and Ron Showler. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow the visitation on Thursday, at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Quarles officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Logan Mulkey, Deyton Harris, Clint Hayes, Matthew Dyer, Jason Dyer, Jeffrey Davis, and Billy Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Chad Hayes and Bryan Davis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CL Strong Foundation, Inc. at North Georgia National Bank, 350 W Belmont Dr, Calhoun, GA 30701.
