Obituary

Marleen Rose Boswell, 82, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, after a year of declining health. She was born on January 18, 1940, in Los Angeles, California to the late Charles and Marion Darling Rhetts. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bobby Glenn Boswell.

Marleen was raised by her grandmother, Rose. Marleen loved her grandmother so much that she gave her daughters the middle name Rose who in turn gave all their daughters the middle name Rose. This tradition that still continues made Marleen extremely proud. Family and her pets were Marleens happiness. She loved gatherings of any sort with family. She was a member at Salem Baptist Church where she looked forward to Sunday church mornings. She loved any holiday, "shopping shopping shopping", and dining out.
Marleen had a fancy way with words and her previous jobs were always clerical. Her husband Bobby Boswell served in the Air Force for 21 years so they traveled many different places together. They retired in Calhoun and eventually spent their golden years at their lake house or curled up with heated blankets in their recliners watching tv. Marleen would always have tons of snacks all prepared sitting between the recliners for them to enjoy.
Marleen was the most organized person ever! She labeled and filed everything that wasnt living. She loved to laugh with her family and had a huge sense of humor. She also had a huge heart and would even cry at Airports while watching strangers say their goodbyes or while watching them reunite.
Marleen was a strong woman with a strong will. She was so much a part of her children and grandchildrens lives. Her huge personality will so dearly be missed by the family that Marleen created.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Darleen Hall- Moore (Randy) and Carleen Crump (Kevin); brothers and sister-in-law, George Rhetts, Don Bliss (Christine), and Bob Bliss (Nancy); grandchildren, Bryan Hall (Kristen), Brooke Dyer (Matt), Brianna Hall, Blair Hall, Craig Crump, Cassie Baldwin (Cody), Carissa Stone (Jordan), and Cara Crump; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Sarah, and spencer Hall, Parker, Connor, and Grey Dyer, Tara and Ezekiel Crump, Addi Baldwin, and Ella Stone.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 28, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Her body will lie in state on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 12 noon until 1:00 pm at Salem Baptist Church.
