Obituary

Margaret Sue King Black, 89, of Calhoun, GA died on November 12, 2021. Margaret was born in Oconee County, South Carolina on July 24, 1932, to the late Wylie and Rubye Mize King. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Black; daughters, Nellie Hall and Vickie Black; eight brothers and two sisters.
Margaret is survived by her son, Robert William Black; grandchildren, Jimmy (Kimberly) Black, Susan (Jimmy) McRee, Eileen Black, Darby (James) Forsythe; great-grandchildren, Justen Black, Ethan McRee, Gwyndolyn Black, Cadenn Forsythe, Kinnsley Forsythe, Connor Forsythe and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are James Forsythe, Zane Pass, Ethan McRee, Jimmy McRee, Howard Strickland, and Jimmy Black.
