Mamie "Frances" Temples Martin

Mamie “Frances” Temples Martin, 88, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024. She was born in Forsyth County, Georgia on February 20, 1936, to the late John and Ella Mae Temples. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Junior Martin, in 2014; brothers, Dave Temples, Buddy Hubert Temples, and Charles Temples; sisters, Annie Hardin, Grace Graham, Marene Heath, and Jean Crider. She was a graduate of Pine Log School and was a loving mother and grandmother.

Frances is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Karen Martin and Shawn and Rhonda Martin; sister Shirley Griffin; grandchildren R.J. Martin, Jaime Holsomback (Zane), Shawnda Worsham (Thomas), and Cailey Stepp (Jacob); great-grandchildren Hayden Holsomback, Aspen Martin, and Ace Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 3:00 PM from Oak Hill Baptist Church in Bartow County, with Rev. Reggie Temples officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Shawn Martin, Jeff Martin, R.J. Martin, Zane Holsomback, Thomas Worsham, and Jacob Stepp. Honorary Pallbearers are Ace Martin, Sheldon Waters, Tim Griffin, Hayden Holsomback, and Aspen Martin. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
