Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lynda Jo An Putnam Garrett, of Adairsville, Georgia (formerly Summerville and Milledgeville, GA). Jo An was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 23, 1941, to the late Paul and Leavy (Jack) Putnam. She is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Garrett.
Jo An was a devout Christian and served her God most recently at Oothcalooga Baptist Church, Adairsville, Georgia.
Jo An loved making memories with her family more than anything. She leaves behind daughters, Beverly Booker (Doug) and Renee Gray; and son, Ken Boyer (Allison). Her most precious memories are those made with her beloved grandchildren, Maddie Nelson and Calvin Simmons, Dayana Baragan (Adrian) and Briana Boyer; her great-grandchildren, Aaron, Julian, and Alexa, and especially, her great-grand princess, Kinley Hanlon.
She was loved and cherished by many people including her extended family, dear friends, loving neighbors, former coworkers, and past and present church family, and the many children who called her Mom or Nana over the years.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will follow the visitation at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev, Michael Hunt officiating.
