Loney Mae Haggard Black, 88, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024. She was born in Cedar Bluff, Alabama, on May 4, 1936, to the late James and Le La Mae Haggard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Black; daughter, Cindy Black; sisters, Jean Ramza, Dean Sanford, and Faye Crane; and brother, James Haggard.

Loney is survived by her son, Jerry Black; daughter, Joyce Thompson; grandchildren, Kristopher Thompson, Diana Thompson, Brandy Black, Shannon Pierce, Timothy Black, and Mitchelle Black; close friend Annie and Gary Faucett; and god-grandson, Alex Faucett. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Boone Ford Baptist Church. 

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM from Boone Ford Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Quarles, Rev. Leamon Smith, and Rev. AJ Waters officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kris Thompson, Andrew Baker, Ronald Dean, Alex Faucett, Kevin Pierce, and Timothy Black.
