Lois E. Walraven

Mrs. Lois E. Walraven age 85 of the Corinth Community in Resaca died Sunday August 13th in Chatsworth Nursing Home following several years of declining health.

Mrs. Walraven was born in Cherokee County, Georgia on May 9, 1921, daughter of the late Andrew and Ola Jones Edwards. Mrs. Walraven was the happiest when she was gardening and taking care of her many flowers. Mrs. Walraven was preceded in death by two brothers, J.L. Edwards of Fairmount and Barnwell Edwards of Talking Rock, GA.

Survivors include two daughters; Bessie Durham and her husband Bobby of Chatsworth and Frances Burchett and her husband Glen of Ranger; One son; Johnny Walraven and his wife Judy of Resaca, GA. Two sisters; Dessie Caylor and her husband Loye of Hinton, GA, and Bessa Cochran and her husband Cecil of Fairmount; One brother, A.C. Edwards of Talking Rock; One sister-in-law, Faye Edwards of Fairmount. A grandson and his wife, Tony and Sabrina Williams of Calhoun; Three great grandchildren, Taylor, Makailia and Jessye Williams and eight nieces and nephews survive..

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois E. Walraven will be conducted Tuesday August 15th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Talent and Grandson, Tony Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gay Grizzle conducting the graveside service.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Monday evening after 6:00 PM.
