Little Malachi Chase Burns-Holden, 3, of Calhoun, drowned accidentally while on an outing with his family at Carter's Lake on Monday, May 31, 2021.
Malachi was born in Gordon County, Georgia on August 28, 2017, son of Allison Holden and David Burns. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Bruce and Brenda Gilbert, Joann Pitts, Dora Lee and R.J. Nasworts Sr., great-great grandparents, Earnest and Inez Holden, Marvin Burns, Larry McRee and Sybil McRee, Ruby Dean, Noble and Evelyn Beall, and Florence Beall.
He was an all-around Country Boy that loved the dirt, mud, fishing and "Paw Patrol".
He is survived by his mother, Allison Holden and her husband Michael; father, David Burns and his wife Sara; brothers, Skyler Burns, Kaynan Burns, Isaiah Holden and Joshua Akins Jr.;sisters, Adalena Holden, Gracie Burns and Harper Holden; grandparents, Timmy Holden, Susan Holden, Julia Barnett, Larry Lynn McRee; great-grandparents, Rhonda and Warren Hawkins, Ronnie Pitts, Bill and Linda Gourley; Special Papa, Lee Delaney; Special Pawpaws, Michael Johnson Sr. and Dwayne Barnett, a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him very much.
Funeral services for Little Malachi Chase Burns-Holden will be conducted Saturday, June 5th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. David Nix officiating. Interment will follow in Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include, Daniel Ghorley, Dale Chapman, Roger Gilbert, Michael Johnson and Skyler Burns.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 4th at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home between the hours of 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
The Brannon family and Staff are honored to serve the family of Little Malachi Chase Burns-Holden, 3, of Calhoun.
