Linda Faye Coots

Linda Faye Coots, 79, of Calhoun, Georgia, was called home by Jesus on Thursday, March 26, 2026. She was born in Cleveland, Tennessee on November 23, 1946. In addition to her parents, JD and Edna Brewer, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Coots Jr.

She is survived by her stepson and daughter-in-law, Joe and Kim Coots III; sisters, Irma Puryear and Jo Anne Butters; grandchildren, Chase and Hope Coots, Connor Coots; great-grandchildren, Paisley Holland, Palmer Coots; many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition, she leaves many joyous and lasting memories with her dear friends, church family and caretakers

Linda was devoted to her husband, and they spent much of their retirement traveling. She enjoyed putting jig saw puzzles together and had a closet full of them. She and Joe Jr were rabid University of Arkansas football fans, and she spent many an evening playing along with Wheel of Fortune. She attended Crane Eater Community Church and loved her church family. She was a faithful supporter of missions and multiple ministries to spread the Good News of our savior Jesus Christ.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 3:00 PM from Crane Eater Community Church with Pastor Paul Gay officiating. Burial will follow in Crane Eater Community Church Cemetery with Joe Coots III, Chase Coots, Connor Coots, Hank Mauldin, and dear friends of her church family serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Crane Eater Community Church Missions.
