Lillie Virginia Edge

Lillie “Virginia” Edwards Edge of Calhoun, Georgia gained her wings to fly. On April 6, 2026 Virginia passed away at home with her loved ones.

Virginia was born the 18th day of October 1949, in Calhoun,Georgia. She is the daughter of the late Rev. Raymond Edwards and Dorthy Kirby Edwards. She is preceded in death by her brother and sister n law, Rev. Charlie and Maryann Edwards, her nephew Stevie Edwards and grandson Josh Barnes.

Virginia will be remembered for her strength, love, and devotion to her family. She carried a quiet resilience and a caring spirit that touched the lives of those around her. She loved to sing and bring joy and happiness to everyone when she did. Her love for gospel was a joy to hear her sing. She will be joining the heavenly choir in the sky.

Virginia is survived by her four daughters: Rebecca England, Amanda Scott, Tammy Whitfield, and Sue Hall. Her 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Her love for her children was the center of her life, and her legacy will live on through them.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Go sing high on that mountain mom.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers a donation to her final expense would be greatly appreciated.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Norris Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Russell Scott, Raymond Scott, Jacob Hart, Chad Barnes, Bryson Scott, and Jaiden Smith.
