Obituary

Mr. Levi Emanuel Nix, 57, of Calhoun, Georgia went to be with his Lord on July 6, 2021 while surrounded by his loving family.
Levi was born in Gordon County, Georgia, one of ten children to the late Gideon and Lorena Jordon Nix. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Bill and James Nix.
He was a Minister of the Gospel and loved to preach and took advantage of every opportunity presented to him. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was very involved with his church, World Harvest Church where he treasured the opportunity to serve in First Fruits Ministry where he gave out food and prayed with hundreds of people each Friday until ill health prevented him from doing so. He was an avid sports fan, was an excellent athlete and not anything could hinder him from being at his grandchildrens events no matter how far he had to drive. He will always be remembered as a great friend to many.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Nix to whom he was married to for 39 years and loved dearly; children, Joshua Nix, Hannah Nix, Ashley Nix Prater and his son of choice, David Prater; grandsons, Charlie Prater, Conner Prater, Harrison Dunn, Casen Prater and Maverick Prater; brothers, Larry Nix, Edwin Nix; sisters, Sarah Young, Victoria Burnett, Easter Guffey and Virginia Keadle, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Levi Nix will be held Friday, July 9th at 6:00 PM from World Harvest Church with Pastor Rusty Haradon, Rev. Phillip Burns and Courtney Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 4:00 PM until the service hour of 6:00 PM.
