Letha Beason

Letha Prather Beason, 86, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024.  She was born in Ranger, Georgia on October 4, 1937, to the L.A and Dena Zell Hood Prather.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Jerrelle Prather Moore and Maribeth Prather Owens.

Letha was a graduate of Sonoraville High School and prior to retirement, she was a bookkeeper for Bowles International Harvester, The Calhoun Times, and Dr. Larry Davis Optometrist.

She is survived by her husband, William Guy Beason to whom she was married for 66 years; sons and daughters-in-law, Keith (Jennifer) Beason, Kollin (Amy) Beason; daughter, Kelly King; grandchildren, Avery Beason, Hayley Sanders, Cole Beason, Ella Claire Beason, McKenna Beason, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 3:00 PM from Farmville Church with Eddie Brannon and Keith Beason officiating. Music will be led and arranged by Phil Cross. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.  Pallbearers serving are Cole Beason, Thomas Ross, Donnie Sutton, Troy Buse, Phillip Parker, and Mark Farist.  These gentlemen are asked to meet at the church at 1:00 PM.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 PM at Farmville Church, 6906 Fairmount Highway SE, Calhoun, GA 30701.
