Obituary

Leon Colson Jr., of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022. He was born on November 7, 1945 to the late Leon Colson Sr. and Omie Curl Colson. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Telitha Johns.
Leon served his country in the United States Navy.
Leon is survived by his wife loving wife, Charlotte Virginia Evans Colson; children, Timothy Gowens (Susan) of Calhoun, Tina Lau (Matt) of Ringgold, and Tammy Thomas (Tommy) of Calhoun; sister, Linda Leach (Robert) of Albany; fourteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 3:00 PM from Oothcalooga Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Wounded Warrior Project, or National Kidney Foundation.
