L.C. Grogan

Mr. LC Grogan, 83, a well known resident of Gordon County, departed from his earthly life into life eternal with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, July 10th, 2026.

Mr. Grogan was born in Cumming, Georgia on June 10, 1943, son of the late Lamon and Clyde Grogan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Janie Ruth McEntyre Grogan, his siblings, Millie Whitfield (Dennis), Peggy Baldwin (Danny), Rupert Grogan, Ray Grogan, and James Grogan (Honey).

As a charter member of Heritage Baptist Church, he lived a life rooted in faith and hard work. He spent many years with Meadowbrook Dairy and later with the Gordon County School System, but nothing brought him more joy than building, restoring and renovating homes.

Survivors include his daughter, Cam Grogan Daniel and her husband Bart; son, Stewart Grogan and his wife Melody; grandchildren, Alexis Conley (Matt), Cody Grogan (Rachael), Andrew Daniel, Janie Elizabeth Griffin (Caleb), and Cord Grogan. Sister and brother in law, Nancy and Jim Luckett. Sisters in law, Sharon and Betty Grogan. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

A service to celebrate the life of LC Grogan will be held Saturday, July 18th at 3:00 PM from Heritage Baptist Church with Pastor Shane Parrott and Robbie Garmon officiating. The family will receive friends at Heritage Baptist Church between the hours of 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Music will be arranged by Robbie Garmon and Amy Padgett. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving will include Cody Grogan, Cord Grogan, Andrew Daniel, Caleb Griffin, Matt Conley, and Bo Conley.
