Obituary

Everette Lane DeFoor, 73, of Calhoun, Georgia entered the gates of Heaven on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was born on July 28, 1948, in Gordon County to the late Everett Louis DeFoor and Ora Jane Smith Rushing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lee Roy Rushing; brothers, Stevie DeFoor and Chip DeFoor; sister, Cindy DeFoor; mother-in-law, Bessie Lee Inglett.
Lane's family was his pride and joy. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play ball, working outside, and raising his goats. He was a member of World Harvest Church. He will be missed dearly by the ones he loved.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jennie Inglett DeFoor; sons and daughter-in-law, Josh DeFoor, Ricky (Valerie) DeFoor, Tim DeFoor, and Coile DeFoor; daughters and sons-in-law, Beth (Andrew) Cole, Lora (Troy) Morgan, and Katrina Turner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Zane (Janie) DeFoor, Terry (Edena) Rushing, and Lee (Barbara) Rushing; sister and brother-in-law, Angie (Cal) Garland; grandchildren, Stefani Turner, Samantha Turner, Shyanne Turner, Courtney McMahan, Sarah Meadows, Jada DeFoor, Georgia Parson, Luke Parson, Kali Morgan, Tucker Morgan, Macy DeFoor, Annsle DeFoor, Avarie DeFoor, Pax DeFoor, Kaleb Hobbs, Jennlee Cole, and Jep Cole; father-in-law, Richard Inglett; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; friends and other relatives also survive.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. His body will lie in state Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 10:00 am until the service hour at World Harvest Church.
The funeral will be conducted on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 11:00 am from World Harvest Church with Pastor Rusty Haradon officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers are, Luke Parson, Kaleb Hobbs, Zac Roland, Robert Flowers, TJ Rushing, and Britt Cole.
