Obituary

Kenneth Ray Dixon, 73, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, following an extended illness. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 24, 1949, to the late Dealis and Nancy Dixon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Deloris Jean South.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Kathy Dixon; daughters and sons-in-law, Celestia Waits, Christy and Joseph Roach, Melody and Ron Rose; brothers, Rick Dixon and Dealis Dixon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Toddy Fryman, Marilyn Cliett; grandchildren Timothy Mullins, Taylor Mullins, Zack Mullins, April Baker, Alyssa Rose; great-grandchild Brantley Mullins.
Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Army. Kenneth served with the 65th Combat Engineers, serving from October 1967 to October 1969 in Vietnam. He drove a truck as an owner/operator and for Michaels Carpet and Mohawk Industries.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons with Rev. Smokie Burgess and Greg Whitehead officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM with the service to follow at 4:00 PM.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Kenneth Ray Dixon.
