Wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, daughter, granddaughter, pianist, graduate, baccalaureate, master, specialist, doctor, teacher, department chair, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, professor, reader, writer, scholar, Episcopalian, lay reader, vestry person, cook, hostess, talker, liberal, believer. Died in the faith.

Dr. Baxter was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Billy N. Baxter, and son, David S. Baxter.  Her parents were Homer S. Greeson and Frances Mildred Hobgood Greeson.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Robert and Becky Paris, grandson, Andrew Tierce, and granddaughter, Molly Baxter, and two great-grandchildren, Ariah Sanchez and Jaden Benefield.

The family wants to express their deep gratitude to Traci Clements, Bruce Harkins, and everyone at Morning Pointe for making the last chapter of her life wonderful.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM from St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. Burial will be in the family lot at Mt. Pleasant UMC Cemetery. To honor her wishes, no formal visitation will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 224 Trammell St, Calhoun, Georgia, 30701.

The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Kay Greeson Baxter.
