Kathryn Darlene Howard

Kathryn Darlene Howard, 67, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on October 21, 2026. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 6, 1959, to the late Franklin and Edna Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Dean Howard Sr.; sisters, Elaine Thompson and Bonnie Thompson; brother and sister-in-law, Franklin and Patsy Thompson; and brother-in-law, Shawn Davis.

Kathryn will be remembered as a loving mother and is survived by her children, Larry Howard (Amanda), Angela Olalde (Valentin), Jennifer Gillette (Benson Suggs), and Jessica Smith (Kenneth). Her grandchildren were her greatest joy: Benjamin Olalde, Rylan Olalde, Olivia Suggs, Daniel Gillette, Amber Jones, Cara Edwards, Izzy Lynthlin, Delilah Lynthlin, and Bonnie Kay Smith, as well as several children in her neighborhood who also affectionately called her Grammy. Kathryn is also survived by sisters; Sharon Davis and Karen Milio (Steve), and her brother, Ricky Thompson as well as several nieces and nephews who also survive.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Quarles officiating.
