Kathie Diane Maples

Kathie Diane Maples, 68, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. She was born in Manchester, Tennessee on May 29, 1954, to the late Hershel Oscar and Rilla Mae Crowell Givens. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Rondal and Joann Givens; sister and brothers-in-law, Jannette and Wayne Dyes, James Meek; infant sister, Georgia Givens, her lifelong friend, Barbara Perry; and her special nephew, Michael Pattan.

Kathie is survived by her children, Bruce Maples (Jessica), Leann Black (Ron), and Alese Maples (Shelley King); brother, Donald Givens (Donna); sisters, Rona Meeks and Rebecca Gibson (Dean); grandchildren, Bryce, Hunter, Cade, Megan, Alexis, Zachary, Carson, Dayton, Rani, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Addison, Austin, Isabella, Kallen, and Rhett. Other survivors include Edna Givens, many special nieces and nephews, great grand-nieces and nephews.

To honor her wishes, her body was cremated.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 2:00 PM from Bethel Cemetery in Pelham, Tennessee with Amanda Gullidge Friddell Officiating.
