Katherina Colston

Katherina Colston, 76, of Greece passed away on January 14th 2023 after battling a heart condition. She was with her daughter Chrisie at the time she passed.

Katherina was born on October 9th, 1946 in Athens Greece and had no other siblings. She met her late husband -and love of her life- Jimmy D. Colston in Cyprus in 1966 while he was serving in the Navy and she was on vacation. Soon they were married and Katherina moved to the United States to begin her new adventure. She became a US Citizen but always stayed very close to her roots and called herself “Katherina of Greece”.

When Katherina had her one and only child Chrisie, she dedicated her life to being a wonderful mother and wife. She was very passionate about her extended family in the US and in Greece and her the hundreds of people she called friends! Katherina never met a stranger and was always there for people who needed her. She was a pillar in the community and a “celebrity” in her own rite.

Later in life Katherina reinvented herself and created a career in Physical Fitness and Nutrition. Her Brand Forever Fit was well known in North Georgia. She worked as a Personal Trainer at the Firehouse Gym in Calhoun, taught at Silver Sneakers and participated in conferences, did public speaking and was very passionate about health and fitness. Katherina was a beautiful person inside and out and touched the hearts of everyone that crossed her path. She is survived by her daughter Chrisie and her loving friends who were family to her.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers you make a donation to Family Promise of Forsyth. The Community Based Services(CBS) Program offers families who are struggling with financial or housing instability and who currently have shelter a variety of levels of assistance and support to achieve sustainable independence.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Katherina Colston, who passed away on January 14, 2023, will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 11:30 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home.
