Kacee Lamar Black, 45, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away due to complications from a pulmonary embolism, Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
Kacee was born in Dalton, Georgia on December 14, 1977, the son of Freddie and Kaye Stamey Black. He was employed by AT&T as a lineman and was a member of the 1996 graduating class of Gordon Central High School where he was a member of the Blue Wave Marching Band.
Survivors include his sons, Kason Black and Trenton Black; parents, Freddie and Kaye Black; sister, Kandi (Robbie) Evans; brother, Kevin (Brooke) Black; nephews, Cooper and Spencer Evans, Channing Whitfield; nieces, Jalynn Black, Berkley Evans, Scarlett Black and Harper Whitfield; aunts, Nina Brumlow and Brenda Brown.
A service to celebrate Kacee’s life will be held Friday, October 13th at 2:00 PM from Trinity Baptist Church, 1170 Rome Road SE, Calhoun, Georgia 30701, with Rev. David Peeler officiating. Music will be arranged by Amy Phillips. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Hall Memorial with Eddie Brannon officiating at the graveside. Pallbearers serving include, Kevin Black, Cooper Evans, Spencer Evans, Timothy Duvall, Justin Payne, Scotty Harmon, and Casey McCarty. Honorary pallbearers are all former and active employees of AT&T.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 12th at Trinity Baptist Church between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM and on Friday October 13th from 1:00 PM until the service hour of 2:00 PM.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Kacee Lamar Black.
The family ask that flowers be omitted and contributions be made in his memory to St Jude or The Ronald McDonald House.
