JW Ralston

December 19, 1932 — May 30, 2025

JW Ralston passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after 92 years of living a good life. He often would tell us how blessed he was to have such a wonderful wife, children, and grandchildren. To have good health was also important to him. Words people use to describe him are, a good man, honest, kind, giving, hard working, and family first.

Born in Oakman, Georgia, during the Great Depression, hard work and survival were all he knew. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, mechanic by trade (owning his own business, J’s Garage and Radiator repair), 60 year master mason Oothcalooga Lodge 154, and attended Oakman-Ranger Methodist Church.

JW was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jean Hall Ralston and infant son, Jerry Lee Ralston. He is survived by his children, Linda (Mitchell) Timms, Sandra (Todd) Gibbs, Jay (Lisa) Ralston; grandchildren, Justin (Jessica) Timms, Kody Timms, Jonathan DiMarco, Carson (Austin) Sollicito, Noah Gibbs, Ariel Finney; great-grandchildren, Jay Timms, Lilah Timms, Ada Timms, Parker Sollicito, Easton Sollicito, Addie Sollicito; and brother, Lee Ralston.

A celebration of life for JW Ralston will be June 8, 2025, at Oakman-Ranger Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM with the funeral and graveside to follow at 3:00 PM.

The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of JW Ralston.
