Obituary

Julius Morris Sexton, 85, of Calhoun, Georgia died Wednesday, May 12, 2021 after an extended illness. He was born on November 28, 1935 in Calhoun, Georgia to the late Everette and Ruby Allen Sexton. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Naomi Louise Tucker Sexton; brother, Max Sexton; brother-in-law, Jesse Harkins.
Julius was a veteran serving in United States Air Force from 1953 until 1955. He was a retired salesman and cattleman. He was of the Church of God faith.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Noi Sexton; daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Thomas Pierce; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Max Kent; grandchildren, Brandy and Clint Schell, Brian and Audrey Pierce, Caleb and Aerial Pierce, Annah Pierce, Joshua Pierce, Tessa and Salim Lopez, Sarah and Zac Beisel, Gabe Sexton, Alex Hernandez, and Emily Sexton; great grandchildren, Ava Best, Issaic Pierce, Branson Schell, Hunter Sexton, Hayden Sexton, Laila Lopes, Alivia and Titus Biesal; sister-in-law, Mozelle Sexton; several friends and other relatives also survive.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. James Shope and Rev. Norris Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Fain cemetery. Pallbearers are Brian Pierce, Caleb Pierce, Joseph Williams, Darren Sexton, Aaron Effoe and Gabe Sexton.Honorary pallbearers serving include Charlie Allen, Lamar Hand, Jamie Shope, RM Hice, Salim Lopez and Joshua Pierce
