Johnsie Grace (McNeeley) Lawhon

Johnsie Grace (McNeeley) Lawhon, 78, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 17, 1947, to the late Johnny McNeeley and Lilla Grace Fuller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy W. Lawhon and sister, Mary Ann Frost.

Johnsie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Melanie Lawhon, Alex and Shanna Lawhon; daughter and son-in-law, Ondrea and Eric Franz; sister, Judy Myrick; grandchildren, Christopher (Chelsea) Hensley, Lauren (Joshua) Thomas, Alex (Kate) Lawhon II, Abby (Justice) Blair, Amy (Bev) Franz, Rachael (Cody) Bourland, Caleb (Abby) Lawhon, and Emily Franz; great-grandchildren, Gracelyn Thomas, Josiah Thomas, AsherLuke Lawhon, Kyelin Blair, Oliver Hensley, Kaden Blair, and Norah Bourland.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Indian Springs Church of God in Ringgold, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM from Indian Springs Church of God with Alex Lawhon officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Billy W. Lawhon, in Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers are Alex Lawhon II, Joshua Thomas, Cody Bourland, Justice Blair, Christopher Hensley, and Caleb Lawhon. Honorary pallbearers are Gracelyn Thomas, Josiah Thomas, AsherLuke Lawhon, Kyelin Blair, Oliver Hensley, Kaden Blair, and Norah Bourland.
