Johnny C. Edgeworth Jr.

Johnny C. Edgeworth Jr., better known as “Icee Man”, 80, of Plainville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. He was born on May 19, 1945, to the late J.C. Edgeworth Sr. and Madlene Ledford Edgeworth. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Edgeworth, Norman Edgeworth, and J.T. Edgeworth; sisters, Betty Faye Siffles and Joann Blackmon; great-grandchild, Serenity Hampton; and daughter, Darlene Bramblett.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Elaine (Smith) Edgeworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Danna (Tony) Burse, Dena (Marty) Hampton, and Angela (Ernie) Cochran; son-in-law, Jeff Bramblett; brothers, Alvin Edgeworth and Tony Edgeworth; sister, Lois Reed; grandchildren, Rachel Goforth (James Eaton), Joshua Cochran, Heather (Shane) Cordell, Sami (Melissa) Hampton, Ameer (Sherry) Gohar, Kristin (Anthony) Phillips, Adam (Krista) Hampton, Carly (Chance) Dutton, and Hakeem (Shelby) Gohar; great-grandchildren, Samuel Biggs, Hayden Cordell, Kaylie Cordell, Easton Clark, Sawyer Clark. Emory Cordell, Zoie Hampton, Kenyon and Konner Hampton, and Branson Gohar; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Eagle’s Way Church.

The funeral service will follow on Thursday at 3:00 PM from Eagle’s Way Church. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers are James Eaton, Ernie Cochran, Tony Burse, Brad Edgeworth, Sami Hampton, and Joshua Cochran. Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nephews.
