Obituary

Johnnie Robert Johnson, 61, of Adairsville, Georgia, known by many co-workers as "John Boy" died Saturday, September 11, 2021, at AdventHealth Gordon.
Johnny was born in Cordele, Georgia on November 13, 1959, son of the late Noah Johnson and Lucille Young Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Mulkey Johnson; four brothers, Noah Larry Johnson, Michael Stephen Johnson, Noah Bruce Johnson, and Charlie Robert "Bob" Johnson.
He was a graduate of Adairsville High School and was an avid Georgia Bull Dog, Atlanta Braves, and Atlanta Falcons fan. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Vulcan Materials Adairsville Quarry as a heavy equipment operator for 30 years.
Survivors include his fur baby, "Lillie Belle"; brother, Lynn (Cindy) Johnson, nieces, Tonya Casares (Paul) of California, Gretchen Williams (Kevin) of Gulf Shores, AL., Angela Johnson (Daryl Patterson); nephews, Stephen Parsons (Rachael), Jason Parsons (Stephanie); two sisters-in-law, Noah Bruce Johnsons widow, Darlene Johnson and Michael Stephen Johnsons widow, Kana Overman and her husband Emerson; many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Funeral services for Johnnie Robert Johnson will be conducted on Wednesday, September 15th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot at Towes Chapel Cemetery in Adairsville, Georgia. Pallbearers are, Emerson Overman, Stephen Parsons, David Hancock, Bobby Watson, Buck Davis, and Henry Hall. Honorary pallbearers serving will include employees of Vulcan Materials Adairsville Quarry.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 14th at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
