Obituary

Joan 'Mamaw' Johns Bright, 74, of Chatsworth, Georgia died July 9, 2021. She was born in Gordon County on November 22, 1946. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Jakey Bright of 52 years.
She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Joan is survived by her loving children, Sam (Angela) Bright, and Stacy (Brandy) Bright. Brothers Max Johns, Billy Johns and Randy Johns; sisters, Linda Holmes, and Judy Stewart; grandchildren, Kenna Bright, Thomas Chase Bright (Skylar), Allison Bright, and Savanna Bright. Great-grandchildren include Jayse Bright, Auden Bright. And several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Max Brannon & Sons funeral home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM on Monday, July 12, 2021. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church. Pallbearers are Steve Bright, Terrell Bright, David Bright, Jimmy Edmondson, Michael Johns, Chris Stewart, Mitchell Johns, and Scott Johns.
