Jimmy Marshall Best Sr, 78, of Calhoun, Georgia died Saturday, April 23, 2022. He was born on September 2, 1943, in Chatsworth, Georgia to the late Robert and Daisy Walraven Best. He was preceded in death by his, brothers and sister-in-law, Harold Best and Mickey (Myrtle) Best; sister and brothers-in-law, Ruth (Ralph) West, Ben Ledford, and Robert Cook.
Jimmy was a self-employed auto mechanic for several years and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bessie Ruth Best; son, Jimmy Marshall Best Jr; sisters and brother-in-law, Frances Ledford, Shirley Cook, and Linda (Alfred) Hall; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive.
To honor his wishes his body was cremated, and the service will be held at a later date.
