Obituary


USAF (Retired) Jimmy Louie Bradley, 84, of Calhoun, GA died peacefully at his residence Saturday, April 30, 2022, after one year of declining health.
Mr. Bradley was born in Gordon County, GA on May 13, 1937, to the late William J. Bradley and Nettie Cook Bradley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Eva Parker, Bessie Petty, Millie Manning, and by a brother, Dennis Bradley.
At the age of 17, he enlisted into the United States Army for two years and then transferred to the Air Force where he stayed for 18 years. He retired at the Rank of E6 Technical Sergeant. He was a man of many words and a never-ending goodbye. Mr. Bradley was a member of New Town Baptist Church.
Jimmy Louie Bradley is survived by his wife, Janet Bradley, to whom he was married for 38 years; children, Mike Bradley (Lisa) of Augusta, Georgia, Tracey Bradley (Anna Almendarez), Spencer Bradley (Louise), Sarah Carver (Larry), Dennis Burnette (Bonnie); brother, Zeb Bradley (Marcelle); grandchildren, Ruth, Peter, Nicole, Sean, Jacob, Gracie, Kaci, Amber, Dustin, Brandon, Heather, Anna, Daniel, Michael, Josh, Jessica, Jennifer, and Madison; and a numerous amount of great-grandchildren also survived.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at New Town Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 3:00 pm at New Town Baptist Church with Reverend Johnny Parker officiating. Music will be arranged by Ritchie Parker. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Memorial Park with military honors by the United States Air Force Honor Guard. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Jimmy Louie Bradley.
