Jimmy "Lank" C. Mashburn

January 4, 1943 — April 10, 2016

Mr. Jimmy "Lank" C. Mashburn, 73 of Calhoun, died Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Erlanger Medical Center. He was born in Gordon County on January 4, 1943, son of the late Frank and Lois Causby Mashburn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Duane Bohannon and Arnold Kirby.

Mr. Mashburn was retired from Apache Mills, and had previously been employed with Crown Craft and Fafnir. He was a member of South Calhoun Baptist Church.

He leaves behind his daughter, Amber Maddox; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Sue Mashburn, Max and Faye Mashburn, and Gerald and Ann Mashburn; sisters, Wynelle Bohannon and Liz Kirby, all of Calhoun; and grandchildren, Erika Roebuck and Conner Maddox.

Services to honor the life of Mr. Jimmy C. "Lank" Mashburn will be held Wednesday, April 13th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Clifford Free officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Mason Mashburn, Craig Mashburn, Brent Mashburn, Vic Bohannon, Junior Bohannon, and Randy Silvers. Honorary pallbearers are Gordon and Brenda Jordan, Max Blaylock, Don Godfrey, Kenny Black, Kendell Causby, David Causby, and Larry Grider.

The Mashburn family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 12th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Mashburn Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1027, Calhoun, GA 30703.
